Farringdon School Council

Our School Council, at Farringdon Academy, take their roles very seriously and over the years and as a result of their hard work, they have made a number of positive changes within the school. During the past few years, the school council have helped to improve the school environment and grounds and suggested fun activities during school time.

This year, our election process began by the whole school voting for a Head Boy and Head Girl and their Deputies. One of their roles is to support the School Council in their leadership roles. The children then elected a School Council representative from their own class from a range of nominees. We also have a teacher representative who helps to facilitate the meetings- Miss Forster. Overall, the school council helps to provide a voice for all pupils and it aims to meet every half term.

The School Council aim is to:

  • To listen to others, discuss comments and come up with suggestions that would make our school an even more wonderful place.
  • To work together as a team to listen and to everyone’s good ideas.
  • To make sure everyone is happy and safe at school and their views are heard.
