Autumn Term 2017

In Year 1 we have enjoyed reading many fiction books, including Detective Dog, Dogger, Knuffle Bunny, The Tiger That Came to Tea and The Everywhere Bear. The Everywhere Bear has been our main text that we have explored. The story has inspired us to go to Build a Bear and design our very own class bears, Zak and Belle and visit Newcastle City Library.  We thoroughly enjoy listening to the children’s adventures with the bears at home.

We have also been looking at our local area and discussing the buildings and their purposes. We have designed some of these buildings within our D&T and art lessons, and displayed them within our classrooms.
