Our Year 3 staff:
Miss Dodds – Teacher
Mr Tye – Teacher
Mrs Charlton – Teaching assistant
In Year 3, we have P.E. lessons every Tuesday afternoon, though we would advise that P.E. kits come into school on a Monday and remain in school until Friday should we need them sometime throughout the week.
Homework will go home every Friday night, to be returned on Monday morning. Following parent feedback, topic-related homework will be handed out throughout the year. Children will have longer to complete these tasks and will be made aware of this when receiving the homework. Spellings will also be handed out at the beginning of the week, to be learned ready for a test on a Friday.

At the start of the year there was whole school topic of safety. Here are some pictures of our water safety role play.
Over this half-term we have been looking at the Stone Age and learning about all aspects of Stone Age life. We have been reading a book called ‘Littlenose’ which is a story about a caveman. We have worked really hard, to write our own sequel to the story and writing Stone Age acrostic poems. In our maths, we have been learning how use the column method for addition and subtraction, we have made huge amounts of progress and are now column method experts! . In art, we have also made Stone Age artefacts and cave paintings and we learning about rocks and soils in Science. Year 3 are all looking forward to the next half-term and finding out even more facts about Stone Age life.
